Here’s What’s New in Aurachain v3.21
With our latest release, we’re thrilled to introduce transformative features that significantly enhance your capabilities in application management and data governance. Key upgrades include a more performant architecture in our revamped Data Store and advanced security with granular app-specific permissions and document download audits.
We’ve also streamlined user workflows with diagram improvements, adding a cleaner, more customizable interface. Additionally, the new versioning features for Processes, Catalogs, and the Data Model offer greater control and transparency over your developments.

Versioning: Processes, Catalogs, and the Data Model
The Process Builder, Data Model Builder and Catalog Builder include a history of all saves. Each save can be previewed or restored. Notes can be attached to each save.
In addition, the Process Builder and Catalog Builder modules include a complete history of changes, including the creation, deletion, and renaming. Deleted Document processes and catalogs can be restored.

Transparency and traceability over building process.
Ability to undo any modifications (accidental or intentional) to Processes, Catalogs, and the Data Model.

Return a Process, Catalog, or the Data Model to a functioning state after a breaking change.
App builders want to catch up with changes to the Processes, Catalogs, and the Data Model of an application.
App builder or admin wants to identify the user that performed a specific change to a specific Process or Catalog, or to the Data Model.
App builder wants to compare current version of a Processes, Catalog, or the Data Model to a previous version.
Document Download Audit
From now on you can choose to store a detailed log of the documents downloaded through the “Upload” component.
You can download a complete audit of all downloaded documents for any 30-day period for all applications or a specific application via the Logs page in the Administration section.

Detailed information regarding each downloaded document.
Increased level of security.
Increased visibility within the organization.
The log can easily be downloaded, as a link to the resulting .csv file will be sent to your registered e-mail.
Use Cases
You can better understand who is interested in downloading certain documents.
You can see how many times a document is being downloaded.
You can see from which location the documents are downloaded.
More Granular Process – Specific Permissions
Aurachain 3.21 comes with individual permissions for each standalone process that is part of an application.
Benefits
Only the users that have initiate permissions on a certain process will be able to start the process.
Increased level of security.
A better organized permissions area.
Recovering a deleted process will also recover its corresponding Initiate permissions.
Use cases
You can allow only those that have clearance to initiate certain standalone processes.
You can only allow certain departments to initiate one or several standalone processes that are part of an application.
New Data Store
The new and improved Data Store has a more performant architecture, based on the PostgreSQL database.
The new version primarily offers nearly the same capabilities as the previous one and better build-in consume capabilities in a much more mature ecosystem and with extended scaling capabilities.

You can store the data in a shared location (Data store) accessible to all applications for universal availability.
You can access up-to-date information from data store tables whenever somebody initiates a new process.
You can add/read/update/delete shared data directly though data table interface or via application processes.
You can control shared data via data table permissions.
Diagram Improvements
A set of new features was added to the diagram builder, designed to elevate builder experience and streamline the workflow: Canvas Grid, connector bridges and labels toggles, now users can customize their workspace as they see fit. These settings are done on a user level and are globally applied.

Improves the system’s overall performance and gives you a cleaner and crispier overview of the process.

Data Formatting for UI Data Tables
The data present in the data table component can now be formatted based on time, date and date-time.
Benefits
The date can be formatted differently based on the regional formatting.
Data imported from any source will be formatted (e.g. Excel file, scripting, data model).
Use cases
You can change the format of the dates added to the data table so that these are aligned with certain regions / countries.
Platform Improvements
- User Interface Builder:
- The table element now supports formatting columns as dates (day, number, time).
- The padding and styles setting now supports manual input for more flexibility.
- We have increased the resolution of the PDF preview element to accommodate large documents.
- New JavaScript methods for changing the active Tab / Stepper element (activateTab) and for setting error states (setValidationError & getValidationError)
- Usage: When/If a live task expires, is reassigned, or instance is terminated, now the user will be redirected to their dashboard with clear information of why this happened.
- We now show more details on the platform version for our users to see which Aurachain version they are using.
- We have removed the character limit for some of our configuration fields.
