Digital solutions have never mattered more. Build yours in days with a game changing low-code platform: Aurachain

The modern business landscape is a digital space and business leaders are constantly looking for new ways to remain competitive while increasing productivity and decreasing costs. To overcome key challenges and achieve strategic goals, organizations are automating more and more processes. Ever more software, ever more quickly is the call. However, meeting this demand while continuing to deliver real business value is not easy. Up to 40% of businesses cite a shortage of professional developer talent. This is one of the reasons that business leaders are turning towards modern technologies such as low-code for help.

Aurachain was founded as the answer to a simple question – “Why is it so hard to make a software application?”

The business experts in any organization are aware of the issues they need to overcome. They may also have some great ideas about how a certain kind of application can improve things, but what they don’t necessarily have are the skills or the time to go and build the application. IT departments are busy keeping legacy systems running, and development teams are tied up with various product or service improvements. So, what happens? The idea gets sidelined. That’s when Aurachain thought that “We can help with this.”

However, they were aware that the applications people want to build are changing. New technologies emerge, and with them come new possibilities. People want to be able to explore these new possibilities in accessible ways. One technique in particular that struck them as having a tremendous amount of potential is blockchain. So, Aurachain built the only low-code automation platform for the development of both digital applications and self-executing smart contracts. This provides organizations with a single, managed platform that automates code creation to drastically reduce the time it takes to build and deploy new applications. Now, those great ideas that were constantly getting side-lined can become realities and blockchain technology can be engaged and experimented with in a simple and practical way.

What Aurachain set out to do was essentially very simple: to make it easy for people to build the applications that they want to build, to solve the problems that they want to solve. That’s not a box you can tick and walk away saying “job done.” It’s a constantly evolving challenge, but one they are confident they will be able to meet every step of the way.

In conversation with Adela Clara Wiener CEO and Founder of Aurachain.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business/IT leader?

The most important skill is to know yourself and your leadership style. Everything stems from there. I really believe that self-knowledge is paramount to long-term success in any field, but especially in tech, where things move at a much higher pace. Then, you can focus on strategic communication. Getting your ideas across the product, roadmap, short-term, and long-term business goals; it’s crucial to get all of that right so that everyone knows what they are working on. And finally, the knowledge to develop talented, high-performance teams. Nobody can be a successful leader in any field by doing everything on their own. You need a top team around you, and the sooner you’re able to identify the type of people and the type of skillsets that are going to drive the business forward, the quicker everything will fall into place.

There is nothing more important for a successful small business than a well-defined mission and vision statements. Can you explain your M&V statements in brief?

Our mission is to accelerate blockchain adoption as a means for collaborative trust among enterprises. And in doing so, to become a bridge between the existing digital innovation platforms and the future of multi-sided business ecosystems. Our vision is to build a platform that will reduce the cost of development and execution of user-friendly smart contracts, with an aim to become a marketplace for smart contract templates targeted at contributors and business users.

What were the biggest initial hurdles to building your business, and how did you overcome them?

When we decided to become an international company, we were a group of very talented tech people, but with little understanding of international markets and sales. So, we were operating on a trial and error basis with limited private capital. It took us around four years of continuous international development efforts until we started to see results. Those years were incredibly difficult and frustrating for us, at times. Before this point, the company and the product had been built with a focus on Eastern and Central Europe. We were faced with rethinking the product strategy, hiring and training new people in new locations, understanding cultural differences and different market approaches, and generating sales at the same time. We persevered and adapted our approach before landing our first international customer — a major Australian bank, who selected us out of several other companies. We were the only European vendor. The entire project delivery was done from Romania, but in line with the Australian time zone, and it was a major success.

What do you hope to accomplish in the long run?

We are currently the only low-code platform on the market that enables organizations to build and deploy blockchain applications rapidly. There has been a lot of hype and interest in the space for a few years now, and we believe that it’s inevitable that organizations around the world will turn to blockchain to solve both new and longstanding problems. Aurachain strives to be the low-code platform that will allow them to operationalize blockchain in a practical and accessible way, automating code creation and shortening development cycles from months to days. We will sit at the intersection of low-code, blockchain, and AI, offering companies a truly democratized approach to solution development that makes the most out of these powerful technologies.

What would you say was the single most influential factor in your business’ success?

Being relentless. The world is going to throw all kinds of barriers to overcome. Not just in business, but in your personal life too. And while it doesn’t guarantee success per se, I don’t think you can reach a level of consistent success without having that relentless determination to keep moving forward, to keep pushing towards your goals to achieve what you want.
